Bene Assicurazioni, Art Embraces the Office

 |  News

Industrial elements, color blocking, technical materials and Street Art. Level Office Landscape designs the new offices of Bene Assicurazioni.

Reflecting the nature of a technology company through the design of the workplace was the latest challenge for Level Office Landscape, the company from Valletta Brianza specialize in office design. For the new headquarters of Bene Assicurazioni in Via Valtorta in Milan, the company has designed an industrial environment, choosing to show beams, systems and raw elements in reinforced concrete, combining them with more refined materials and components, to create a pleasant contrast visual.

Bene Assicurazioni, a Contemporary Design for a “Young” Office

The environment, designed to stimulate new ideas, the exchange of knowledge and skills, reflects the needs of Bene Assicurazioni collaborators, whose the average age is 34 years, looking for a workplace that promotes wellbeing and from which to be inspired. The design layout rejects the old hierarchies and the traditional logic of the work routine, designed to accommodate the flexibility of the new generations.

Andrea Sabia, ceo of Bene Assicurazioni, states: «We asked Level Office Landscape to design the new offices with a young, dynamic and innovation-oriented company in mind». Thus the project reveals the right balance between open-plan spaces and an orderly network of workstations from the “Corner” series, designed to encourage collaboration and interaction between colleagues.

The Office Layout

The closed spaces, separated by glass partitions, instead favor privacy and concentration, with different degrees of isolation: from the “Isola” phone booth, to the small meeting rooms and offices with meeting tables of the “Flat” series, up to areas dedicated to informal meetings made with free standing “Planilux” partition walls or with the flexible and functional “Ever Evolving System” container system.

The project is completed by two areas dedicated to conviviality. The Library, more intimate and reserved, with its reading table and total black bookcases for an elegant and silent environment and the Bene Cafè, furnished with high and low tables, colored stools and moss on the walls for a touch of indoor nature. Great attention was paid to the issues of worker well-being, ensuring luminous, acoustic and climatic comfort.

Art in Bene Assicurazioni’s Offices

To give liveliness to the space, Level Office Landscape’s designers were inspired by the color blocking technique, using different shades to characterize the spaces and furnishings, according to their functions. But it is only through art that the result is amplified. Bene Assicurazioni has in fact promoted two artistic pieces by Orticanoodles and Camilla Falsini, curated by the author, art expert and ceo of Level Office Landscape Massimo Gianquitto, which blend perfectly with the work spaces.

The Milanese collective Orticanoodles has made the entrance area that welcomes visitors unique with a “site specific” mural entitled WAM (We are Milan) while the Roman artist and illustrator Camilla Falsini has created an environmental work of art in acoustic fabric in the Conference Arena, using its signature bright colors and geometric designs. Because art is not just to be looked at, but to be lived in (even in the office).
